Sony is planning to launch a new refreshed flagship code named "Sirius" in next month at MWC 2014. The leaked images and UI shows Sony is improved a lot in few areas, specially the display. We starting to see Sony is using IPS panels for the new flagships which is good news for Sony fans since they were having issues with viewing angle. For some reasons i don't think Sony will name this D6503 "Sirius" as Xperia Z2, So my concept is about the H2 flagship of Sony which is usually unveiled at IFA around September. Xperia Z2 is a fresh flagship that makes Sony to get close to that "One Sony" strategy.
Xperia Z2 features a 5.25" 2K (1440x2560) resolution screen with a 560 ppi pixel density. The screen technology used for the concept is IPS Triluminos along with the Sony's picture engine X-Reality for Mobile. Screen is protected by a shatterproof sheet baked on to a gorilla glass 3. It's a fact that human eye can't differentiate pixel densities over 320ppi from a normal viewing distance, so why we need a 2K screen on a smartphone? Few factors have to be concerned, since the device is capable of 4K video record and playback, it helps to render the video more easily on a 2K screen. other factor is the Competition in the Market. Some folks want the best of available hardware on their phone despite the battery consumption. It's true 2K screen will suck the battery juice more quickly when compared to a similar size 1080p screen. finally i have decide to go with a 2K screen although 1080p is enough for my personal taste.

Why i want to have a Xperia Z1 Compact
We all like to a have a flagship smartphone in our life. But the problem is most OEMs made their flagship devices from 5" to 5.5" or more..This is a sad news for the people who likes to have a small premium pocket friendly phone with easy one handed use. I'm currently using a Xperia L and i have found out that, the 4.3" screen of it is the best size for me to swipe my fingers to each edge of the screen without using the other hand. From that moment i always wanted a 4.3" flagship as my next phone. Most mini phones haven't gave us the expected flagship hardware. Take Galaxy S4 mini and HTC One mini for example. All they had is midrange hardware under the flagship name. But things have been changed since yesterday after the Sony's new Xperia Announcement.
CES Las Vegas is always a best place for Sony to show off their latest technologies for the year and yesterday in CES 2014 at Sony's press event they have unveiled the long waited miniature version of the current flagship Xperia Z1, The Xperia Z1 Compact. All the power of Z1 in a smaller dimension.
Talking about the specifications Xperia Z1 Compact features the same hardware of big brother Z1 except a smaller battery yet the biggest in it's class and a HD 4.3" screen instead of 5" FHD. Snapdragon 800 chipset with quad krait 400 cores and Adreno 330 GPU will take care all your heavy processing and graphics while 2GB of RAM keeps the device calm and smooth. 20.7MP Sony G-lens module with Exmor RS 1/2.3 image sensor is present to take high quality images as well as to take snaps under water. From Software side Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will run out of the box and Sony promised for a kitkat update soon after the market release. Those are basic and most attractive specs of this little beast and now lets see the points why it's good for some one like me , who's expecting a compact size Android all rounder.
